How is this different from a regular massage?

Key Lymphatics is post-surgical recovery care, tailored to your surgery and healing stage, not a standard relaxation massage. Every session is built around your surgery, your healing stage, and your medical team's guidance.

What happens at my first appointment?

Kristin will talk with you about your health history, your goals, and any relevant surgeries or injuries. She'll observe how you feel and move, then choose techniques that make sense for where you are. The session is shaped by that conversation — not by a predetermined protocol.

What is microcurrent, and what does it feel like?

Kristin uses Dolphin Neurostim pens, which deliver low-level electrical stimulation to selected areas. Most people feel very little — a mild sensation at most. Kristin discusses whether to use them and adjusts the session to your comfort throughout.

What is the NeuroGlide mat?

The NeuroGlide mat is one of Kristin's optional tools, used during some sessions when it's appropriate — including migraine-focused sessions. Not every client needs it, and Kristin will let you know if she thinks it would be useful for you.

She reviews your treatment history and adapts — or postpones — techniques based on your current needs. This work supports comfort and is not a substitute for rehabilitation or medical care from your team.

Do you treat lymphedema?

Kristin offers supportive bodywork that incorporates gentle lymphatic techniques. This is not the same as a complete lymphedema treatment program, and she does not diagnose lymphedema. If you have diagnosed or suspected lymphedema, please stay connected with your medical team or a certified lymphedema therapist — that relationship matters.

What do you do for people with migraines?

Kristin focuses on relevant neck, shoulder, jaw, and head tension patterns — including tension that may be connected to an old injury. A session may include gentle hands-on work, time on the NeuroGlide mat, and gentle microcurrent when appropriate. This is not a cure for migraines, but for some people, consistent attention to these patterns makes a real difference.
